Vanessa Ponce de León, Miss World reinante y Stephanie Del Valle, Miss World 2016 invitadas de honor a la Fiesta de Navidad "Rays of Sunshine"


We had the honour of being guests at a very special Christmas party for some extraordinary children.

Rays of Sunshine is a UK charity dedicated to brightening the lives of seriously ill children by granting magical wishes for these brave young people and their families.

We were delighted that reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de León and Miss World 2016, Stephanie Del Valle was invited to meet some of these children at the charity’s annual family Christmas party.

More than 360 Rays of Sunshine children and their families enjoyed a fun-filled day at an exclusive Christmas party. Activities included bear-building, t-shirt decorating, slime making, Go Get Glitter, face painting, biscuit decorating, nail art, and even a disco to get the whole family dancing, the party was jam-packed and full of fun for the families. If this wasn’t enough, the children could also enjoy taking pictures in the fun photo booth, video games and eating lots of party food, including candy floss and popcorn.

Adding extra magic to the afternoon by joining in the dance competition and helping at the pop-up nail bar were special guests, reigning Miss World, Vanessa Ponce de Leon and 2016 Miss World Stephanie Del Valle.

Vanessa said: “We had an amazing afternoon with these inspirational children. We painted nails, danced, played, sang and took hundreds of photos. But I couldn’t stop laughing when a kid came over and said - so they tell me you are famous. Thank you Rays of Sunshine for letting us be part of such a special day.”

Live entertainment on the day included a brilliant magician, fun characters, and a Santa’s Grotto where children had the opportunity to tell Santa what’s on their Christmas list this year and take home a special present.
